A game about work

The loop
How a quarter goes
01
Roll and walk the floor
Take turns rolling a die and moving round the office. Paydays pay. Deductions deduct. The printer is a deduction.
02
Survive the memo
Land on a memo tile and one lands on you: a restructure, HMRC wanting underpaid tax, a P0 incident at 03:40. Ninety of them, and the Shareholders have twenty worse ones.
03
Deliver the objectives
Reach a Board room with 15 shareholder value and sign off the next objective on the roadmap. Deliver them all and you win. That is the prize.
Then everybody plays a short activity, and the next quarter starts. You pick how long the whole thing runs and the game fits it. Full rules are on how it works.

Perks you can weaponise
Land on the cupboard and take something. You can carry three, and use one at the start of your turn. None of them will make you happy.
There is also a burnout meter. Overtime, the printer and the fire escape all push it up. Fill it and you are signed off with stress and miss a turn, which is the only way this game will ever let you rest.
- OVERTIME AUTHORISATIONRoll two dice this turn. Costs you a little of yourself.
- GOLDEN HANDCUFFSTake 8 SV from any one colleague. They agreed to this in writing.
- SUDDEN REORGReport immediately to wherever the Board is sitting. Ends your move.
- HR COMPLAINT (FILED)One colleague is suspended pending investigation. They miss a turn.
- CREATIVE EXPENSES+12 SV. The receipts are in a drawer somewhere.
- OUT OF OFFICEIgnore the next bad thing aimed at you. You simply weren't reachable.
- DESK SWAPSwap places on the floor with a colleague of your choosing.
- ANNUAL LEAVE (APPROVED)Three days off. Burnout down by 3. You will still check emails.
Nobody free?
Fill the empty chairs with temps. They play the board and the activities properly, they never wander off, and they can be beaten.
Playing with mates
Open a private room, send the six-letter code or the link, and you are going in under a minute. No accounts, no lobbies, no install.
On a phone
The whole thing is built for a thumb. Every activity works one-handed, and a locked-down work laptop runs it fine.
Free online workplace games, in the browser
Shareholder Party is a set of online workplace games you can play without installing anything. The main event is an online multiplayer board game for two to six players: roll, move round the floorplan, survive whatever the memo says, and race everybody else to deliver the roadmap. It runs entirely in the browser, so it works on a phone on the train and on a work laptop that will not let you install anything.
If you have twenty minutes and a group chat, open a room and paste the link. If you have four minutes and nobody to play with, there are four daily puzzles instead: a corporate word game, a market cap chain, a grouping puzzle made of office line items, and a salary ordering game. The same four for everyone in the world, every day, with streaks and a share grid.
It is all free. There is no download, no account required, and nothing to sign up for. If you want your streaks and your record kept, an account does that and nothing else. Read how it works, or look at why browser games and running one at a work social.
Your objectives are waiting
Two players is enough. So is one, if you are prepared to hire temps.
